Short bio: Dr. Ramazan Unal is currently an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Ozyegin University and affiliated with Robotics and Biomechatronics Laboratories. He received his Ph.D. from University of Twente in January 2014 for the design and control of energy- recycling transfemoral prosthesis: WalkMECH. During his Ph.D. he has worked as a junior researcher in both Biomechanical Engineering (BME) and Robotics And Mechatronics (RAM) research groups for REFLEX-LEG project funded by STW, The Netherlands. He received his M.Sc. from Sabanci University for the design optimization and control of parallel structured haptic exoskeleton for wrist rehabilitation in Human Machine Interaction Laboratory, 2008. He received his B.Sc. from Yildiz Technical University in Mechanical Engineering with major in Automotive, 2005. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Unal joined Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Robotics & Multi-body Mechanics research group as a post-doctoral researcher to conduct research in BIOMOT (FP7 European Project) and MIRAD (IWT-funded) projects. There he was involved with the design and development of robotic exoskeletons. In 2016, Dr. Unal has started working as an Assistant Professor in Abdullah Gul University, Mechanical Engineering Department and also become a Faculty Board Member. There, he continued his research on robotic exoskeletons and prosthetics with TUBITAK and AGU-SRP funded projects.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
